MTZ CEO: Belarus, Azerbaijan plan to jointly produce 1,000 tractors per year

The Ganja Automobile Plant plans to increase the production of Belarusian tractors to 1,000 units per year – as informed by Vitaly Vovk, the General Director of the Minsk Tractor Plant, on the side-lines of the recent Caspian Agro and Inter Food international exhibitions in Baku

According to Vitaly Vovk, the share of Belarusian tractors in the Azerbaijani market dropped to 60 percent in 2022-2023, but today it makes almost 80 percent. “This has become possible thanks to joint work with the Ganja Automobile Plant, with which we have been co-operating since 2007. By now, about 15 thousand Belarusian tractors have been assembled on the Azerbaijani market, and we plan to produce 1,000 units per year in the near future,” he said.

The General Director of the Minsk Tractor Plant added that all leading companies are now trying to relocate production as close to the place of operation as possible, since this helps ensure high-quality maintenance service and contributes to the creation of new jobs.

The Minsk Tractor Plant and the Ganja Automobile Plant signed a contract for the supply of 725 machine kits on the side-lines of the Caspian Agro international exhibition in Baku.
